RELEASE, MONITORING & REPATRIATION OF ENDANGERED ANIMALS
The Program for Rescue, Monitoring, and Repatriation of Endangered Animals is designed to return native animals to their natural habitat and way of life, avoiding their indiscriminate capture, without technical parameters. Beyond this, we contribute to the wellbeing of the ecosystem and the native animals through scientific research programs and environmental education in the local communities.

MEDICINAL PLANT NURSERY
Throughout human history, human beings have sought to understand and use natural resources in a therapeutic way for the treatment of various diseases, or, rather, as vegetal sources of healing.
This understanding of the medicinal properties of plants has long been a part of the oral tradition, being transmitted generation to generation. However, at this point in time, this knowledge is no longer being passed on, leaving a population who cannot use the local native plants for their own use, for lack of information.
The goal of this project is to identify plants for therapeutic use, establish nurseries for propagation of these plants, transmit the experiences and knowledge of previous generations who knew the applications of the plants in other regions, and encourage the sharing of this knowledge, to improve the quality of life and preservation of health
INTERNATIONAL ROTARY CLUB YOUTH EXCHANGE
Foreign exchange students, through our partnership with Rotary International, District 4730, combine their education here with real-time socio-environmental work and study.
The participants have the opportunity to be involved in our works in progress, learning our socio-environmental realities, and the primary needs and activities of the Institute.
Through direct contact with the flora, fauna, and local communities, it is a unique opportunity to immerse in and understand the need for global environmental preservation.
All of the work they do is recorded with video and camera, to create a document of their work together on the projects.
At the end of their time with us, there is a closing ceremony, where the participants receive a video, their photos, and the title of Institute Eco Habitat Ambassador, whereby they promise to pass on the knowledge they have gained to as many young people in their own countries as they can, becoming first a link between the Institute and the many people interested in issues of conservation and someday, foreign partners or patrons.
